What is Wix?
Wix is the most important web site builder out there. It began as a Flash-based platform. That’s why sometimes you hear about Wix not having the ability to rank well in search engines. Nowadays, they’re the most common website creator in the market. Their development speed is suitable, which makes them the best website builder in our Website building. A few months ago, Wix started a convenient self-service appointment booking system for clients. Wix runs a Website based on restaurants, a (commission-free) addon that lets your customers book tables, order food from you, and consider your menus.
Why we use Wix?
Wix offers an outstanding drag-and-drop site builder to form small websites. There are 100s of free templates available. Wix provides its web hosting as well as domain names (free and paid). The App Market makes it easy to feature extra functionality like photo galleries or e-commerce. The most user uses Wix; this is because one of the biggest advantages is that hundreds of well-designed templates that a user can use for free. Adapting them to your need is super easy that there is a huge range of features: thanks to their App Market, you can easily add new features to your website (e.g., a comment box, a newsletter subscription, an events calendar, a forum, new format, feature box, etc.).

I used it to form our bilingual company website called Tooltester.net. We had a selected design in mind and just needed a quick because of building it. Also, I didn’t want to believe security updates, etc. This meant WordPress wasn’t an option.

What is Weebly?
Weebly is one of our all-time favorites. The easiest website builder in all and easy to use in the website editor. No doubt, about 40 Million websites have been created using this website building editor platform.
Weebly has added all the new functionality to their editor is an online store and other one member component. The Weebly CMS is a Content management system is that feature which can handle up to 150 pages. But they didn’t provide any storage and wide limit in their plans that are paid.
What do we like? All themes and templates are responsive, such as nice design, and provide a smart template feature through which users can build any website and customize it according to need.
What should they improve? While the App Center is great, you won’t find as many apps as in Wix’s App Market. Also, Weebly is not a good option for creating multi-paged websites.

The first thing Weebly offers is a drag and drop website builder with 40+ mobile-friendly themes. It includes a blog, image, galleries, and an online store. Next to the free plan, there is Weebly Professional at $12/month, which is the cheapest ad-free plan and lets you use your own domain name.
They noticed when trying Weebly was how easy it is to use. It is just as like finding in someone’s kitchen for cooking something according to your need. It contains a drag and drops tools for editing, and this feature is completely friendly for a new user. They also keep their pricing simple. After using the free plan, Weebly provides three offers that are Personal, Professional, and Performance.
For some of our projects, we use Weebly as it is easy to use, and one of our project names Barcelona-Museum.com consists of more than 100+ pages. Landing page for our Weebly-created website. What is Squarespace?
The sequence has been around since 2003 and speaks “millions” of websites created on their platform. The website has a clean design that appeals to the eyes. It’s hard not to like the clean design of their website and the powerful aesthetics. The question is, though, whether their product is just as good as their self-marketing.
While there are a lot of good things, there are also flaws. About SEO, Squarespace recently improved their features so that you can now customize all relevant areas (page titles, descriptions, etc.).
What we like? the designs are brilliant and also pretty flexible. We’ve also had pretty positive experiences with their support. Squarespace is also THE website builder to start a blog; no other site builder offers such a sophisticated blogging feature.
What should they improve? There is no backup and restore feature, which is a bit disappointing. It’s not the easiest drag and drops website builder to use; other alternatives are better suited for beginners. Finally, when we tested their page speed (also an important SEO factor), it wasn’t exactly impressive. A larger selection for external applications would be desirable (something comparable to Wix App Market).
Why we use ‘Squarespace’: You can say what you want, but the sequence space homepage is certainly nice to look at. Among all website builders we’ve tested, hardly any other company understands how to stage its product with such perfection.
Squarespace has introduced some new features in the latest version, like a Cover Page Builder, Google Workspace, and Getty Images. However, the most important aspect is the editor’s usability. It’s possible to edit content life without switching back and forth between the site manager and preview mode. We’re big fans of inline editing as it makes things not only less abstract but also faster.
Squarespace has a better blogging tool and better support than most competitors. They offer 100+ flexible templates that fully adapt to mobile devices. Getting used to the platform takes a while due to a few usability issues. Pricing starts at $12/month.
Our tests have shown that Squarespace is a reliable website builder; however, its page speed needs improvement. Squarespace is not perfect, but we agree with their slogan: “Better websites for all.” If you are looking for Squarespace alternatives, you may also want to check out Wix.com. Like Squarespace, they are very focused on design aesthetics and generally a bit more flexible than Squarespace.

What is Webnode?
Although not as popular as other tools like Weebly or Wix, it is still one of the most globally used website builders, especially among European users. Webnode is a hit and miss: some features are really advanced and almost unique in the industry, but it also lacks some basic functionality that can be a no-go for some.
A free domain name for most of their plans is included for the first year. On top of that, some tiers also come with custom email accounts (e.g., [email protected]) for free.
What do we like? Webnode’s most exciting feature is that they offer an easy way to create multilingual sites; very few website builders have a feature like that. We also like their designs, which are modern and responsive – so they automatically look good on all devices. Their SEO features are also solid and have everything that most sites will need.
What should they improve? Their blogging system is missing some key features like tags or a native commenting system. If you are looking to create an online store, look elsewhere – their solution is pretty basic. Unlike Wix or Weebly, they don’t have an app store; these can be really convenient as they let you install extensions that enhance your site’s capabilities.
Why we use Webnode:
With more than 40 million registered users, Webnode is one of the larger players in the website creation arena. Their core strength is clearly languages – they support more than 20 of them, and they even let you create a multilingual website. Surprisingly, they also offer support in all these languages.
A while ago, Webnode decided to launch a new version of their platform and replace the good old editor that we liked. We even used it to build the original version of WebsiteToolTester back in the days before it became too complex for Webnode. Webnode has a great strength: few website builders make it so easy to create a multilingual website. We were impressed with their templates, especially compared with their previous versions. Additionally, Webnode is one of the few site builders that lets you create (and restore) backup copies of your websiteThe improvements include a more direct editing experience as well as a range of good-looking designs. They also added a new and improved shopping cart to the website builder.

Why we use WordPress?
The software WordPress, which was first designed to create blogs, now power 38% of all websites on the Internet. It is mighty, customizable, and flexible. You can create any website with it, from eCommerce to real estate site or a full online newspaper.
While the software itself is free and open-source, there is a version that is more like other website builders on this page. It’s found through WordPress.com, and it comes with web hosting, pre-installed plugins, a selection of themes, and dedicated support. This is all great because it’s things you usually have to do and find yourself. So WordPress.com does make it easier than ever for anyone to create a WordPress site.
So why so far down this list? Each available plan, from the free one to the Premium option ($8 a month), comes with serious limitations. We found you’ll need at least the Business tier ($25 a month) to compete with the other solutions mentioned above.
What do we like? It’s effortless to get started. There is no maintenance or complex installation process, and you can get a decent looking blog for free (hosted on their preselected domain). The support is good, fast, and even there to help with third-party plugins you install on your site.
What should they improve? It’s not the easiest backend to get used to for beginners. There are way too many limitations in place with each plan. No good SEO until the Business plan, and you can’t install any theme or plugin you want, even with certain paid plans.
Why we use it, and how it works?
You sign up for free, choose a theme, and start editing your website by adding pages and content. Then you can choose to stay on a free plan or pay a monthly fee to use more features and connect the site to your own professional domain. As of late 2019, WordPress changed the way you add and create content on your site. It used to be through an editor called TinyMCE, a.k.a the Classic Editor. It was pretty much a text editor – great for writing posts, but not so great for complex pages (unless you knew how to code or relied on 3rd party plugins).

It’s worth noting at this point that WordPress is sometimes called a CMS or Content Management System. But because WordPress.com allows you to build and host entire websites, I’ll stick with the “website builder” name.

- Pages: usually static content like an About Us page
- Posts: blog posts, news, or regular updates. You can use tags to group them, and they usually appear in reverse chronological order.

The Weebly Professional plan at $12 per month includes a site search feature and video and audio players, allowing you to stream media directly from your site. All in all, you can’t really go wrong with Weebly.
3. Squarespace:
First, it’s not cheap: their lowest no-frills plan starts at $12 per month. Squarespace’s claim to fame is to offer one of all website builders’ best blog functions, second only to WordPress. And as of recently, they are increasingly pushing their online store.
So what else do you get? You can choose from their numerous, and admittedly, beautiful themes. They are all tablet and smartphone-compatible and feature different types of photo galleries.
4. Webnode:
Webnode provides Free Trial also, but it provides a better plan for a Limited time of $3.95/month/annual billing and another plan of Mini with $5.95/month/annual billing. With more features of tools, it provides Standard $11.95/month/annual billing, Profit $19.95/month/annual billing. They are also giving relevant services to the online store.
5. WordPress:
WordPress.com is a hosted website builder that uses the free WordPress software. You can create blogs, websites, and online stores without much technical knowledge. Hosting is included with the free version (with ads) and four paid plans ranging from $4 to $45 a month.

in short, WordPress is far more friendly to beginners because it uses blocks to feature media text or the other quite content. WordPress is often installed by the default method of putting in like all software. Once you install Classic editor of WordPress, you’ll still have availability to revert it to whenever you would like. For gaining better performance instead of having complicated things with the interface.WordPress provides new functionality in its latest version to avoid unpleasant surprises and enhance speed while building a website.
I considered both Weebly and Wix (our top-rated builders) and went for Wix, but once we compare Wix and WordPress, I might prefer WordPress as compared to another one. With Weebly, there were just no perfect thanks to making our design look good on mobile devices. Working with the Wix editor was a breeze, offering handy tools like photo filters and animated texts. I had my reservations about Wix initially as their product hasn’t always been easy to recommend. That has completely changed: Weebly has now evolved into an impressive site building tool that’s better than most competitors. It’s simple, uncluttered, and straightforward to use – which is strictly what people with limited technical skills need when it involves creating their own internet presence.
